We began lesson five by watching the preliminary video presentation one of the students made about persecution. We shared feedback and ideas.
We studied Prisoner Profiles, with information on writing to the prisoners. Open Doors has a great guideline with tips on writing letters to the persecuted.

The class is writing letters at home. Next week we will share and discuss our letters with each other.
People of the Cross
We played a video, Who Would Dare to Love ISIS? (A Letter from the People of the Cross) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSv4vBcFyvo
We discussed how Jesus told us to love, forgive, and pray for those who persecute us. That has not been central to many of the conversations that are happening around us. We discussed why we thought that was happening and how that can change.
We talked about how Who Would Dare to Love ISIS? (A Letter from the People of the Cross) was removed from YouTube and later returned. http://www.jenx67.com/2015/06/censored-youtube-removes-christian-love-letter-to-isis.html
